SEDALIA, Colo. — Fire officials reported Tuesday night that they found a body inside a home that was destroyed by an early morning fire.
The family of the man who owns the home expressed a great deal of concern earlier in the day because they had not heard from him. They were worried he may not have made it out of the burning house.
“Excavation equipment had to be called in to assist with mop-up, so that firefighters could get to the hot spots and extinguish the fire prior to a search of the residence taking place,” Sgt. Ron Hanavan, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office spokesman says.
