FRESNO, Calif. — A Fresno firefighter was injured early Wednesday while working a mobile home blaze west of Highway 99.

A Fire Department spokesman said the blaze broke out about 1 a.m. in the mobile home park in the 2500 block of West McKinley Avenue in the Villa Fresno complex. Crews limited the damage to one home.

The firefighter was hurt when he fell off steps and landed on his back. He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.

The fire apparently started in the home’s heater, the spokesman said. The occupants were not injured.
