STANTON, Calif. — A firefighter and a civilian were injured from a fire that reached two buildings and a tree Monday morning.
First responders received a call at 11:29 a.m. on the 10600 block of Rodeo Drive that a fire engulfed a tree, parts of a two-story house and a second single-family home, Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Larry Kurtz said.
A firefighter fell through the roof while fighting the blaze and was transported to a local hospital. The extent of his injuries was not immediately known.
A civilian was being treated for respiratory distress from the fire that sent 36 firefighters to the scene.
By 12:01 p.m., firefighters had the blaze under control.
