DETROIT — Authorities say a firefighter has been injured while working to extinguish a fire at a former automobile plant Wendesday morning.
The Associated Press reported that the firefighter fell from a bucket on top of a ladder and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The firefighter fell as a portion of the building’s facade collapsed.
Fire officials on the scene said the firefighter had head injuries but was conscious, according to ClickonDetroit.com. The firefighter is said to be in stable condition.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
