PORTLAND, Ore. — Firefighters say a large amount of clutter kept them from effectively battling a house fire Tuesday night.
Portland Fire Bureau spokesman Lt. Rich Chatman said firefighters had troubling accessing the home and difficulty fighting the fire mainly because of the “extreme amount of clutter” in the home, according to KATU.com.
Chatman said firefighters are working to remove the clutter from the burned areas before investigators can get into the home to figure out what caused the fire, according to the report.
