SALEM, Ohio — Salem fire department says 2 victims were killed in a blaze that left three separate homes in ruins or severely damaged.
Fire crews pulled the two victims bodies from the rubble Sunday afternoon. Fire fighters say the flames were out by around 9 a.m. but crews had remained on scene to put out hot spots.
Earlier in the morning, shortly after 5 a.m., crews were called to Franklin Avenue for reports of smoke showing from a residential home. The flames spread from one home to two additional homes on the street.
