APOLLO, Pa. — Several firemen received minor burns in a house fire in Apollo, an Armstrong County emergency dispatcher said this afternoon.
Volunteer firefighters from six departments were sent to a house in the 400 block of North Fifth Street just after 1 p.m.
Firefighters in heavy turnout gear and wearing 30-pound air tanks on their backs were also dealing with temperatures in the 90s. High humidity made it feel even warmer.
Firefighters were still on the scene at about 3 p.m.
