WEST DUNDEE, Ill. — A fire at a West Dundee apartment building late Friday night sent three people to area hospitals for smoke inhalation, officials said Saturday.
Quadcom dispatchers said West Dundee firefighters received a call about a fire at a 12-unit apartment building on the 700 block of Strom Drive at approximately 9:20 p.m.
With flames blowing out the back of the building, witnesses reported, it took firefighters more than a half-hour to get the blaze under control.
West Dundee was assisted by several area fire departments, including East Dundee.
Quadcom officials said the West Dundee Fire Department plans to issue a statement Monday.
They declined to release any more information about the Friday night fire, including the cause of the fire or any damage estimates.
