MUSCATINE, Iowa — A Muscatine, Iowa firefighter was injured fighting a two-alarm fire that appeared to have started in a semi tractor at a local trucking company shop.
The fire was reported just before 11 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Daufeldt Trucking, 603 Clay Street in Muscatine. Firefighters said heavy smoke was visible from the shop area of the building when they arrived.
“The seat of the fire was found to be in or near a semi tractor in the shop area,” said Assistant Fire Chief Mike Hartman. “The fire was contained to this vehicle, but there was heat and smoke damage throughout the entire structure.”
