CLARE, Mich. — Despite having one of their own injured during a call Tuesday, fire crews continued to battle fires throughout the day.
Clare firefighters responded to a burning business early Tuesday, where firefighter Sam Eberhart fell through an attic, reported 9and10News. He suffered a fractured pelvis and hip.
Eberhart was transported to the hospital, but fellow firefighters were called to a second blaze.
“We had to split our department up as well as incoming mutual aid,” Clare Fire Capt. Chad Michaels said. “We had units still at that fire, we had some coming here … we’re short man power.”
The cause of both fires are under investigation.
