Video: Cleveland crews battle massive commerical fire

Fire officials say they’re in defensive mode now watching for flare-ups and no injuries have been reported

CLEVELAND — Dozens of firefighters have been battling a blaze since early Wednesday morning at a metal plant.

WKYC reported that the Cleveland Fire Department got the call shortly before midnight for a well-involved fire.

The blaze at the Victory White Metal Company sent flames shooting feet into the air, according to the report. Victory White Metal makes top quality solders, which is a piece of metal used to join less fusible metals together.

Fire officials say they’re in defensive mode now watching for flare-ups and no injuries have been reported, according to the report.

In addition to the flames, firefighters are also battling the cold, with trucks and hoses freezing when inactive.
