CHICAGO — Firefighters responded to a 3-alarm fire that engulfed a large warehouse Friday morning.

The Fire Department said the warehouse contains propane tanks, so crews were using a defensive approach to put out the fire, according to the report.

It was unclear if the frigid conditions — with an official temperature of 1 degree below zero, and wind chills of 14 below in Chicago at the time — were affecting firefighting efforts, according to the report.
