BEDFORD, Ind. — Three volunteer fire departments were called to a home of one of their own Wednesday morning.
WBIW reported that no one was hurt in the fire that struck firefighter Terry Pemberton’s home.
A neighbor reported the fire and Shawswick Volunteer Fire Department Chief Bob Brown said the fire started in a hallway area, according to the report.
“There was damage to the ceiling, hallway and one bedroom,” Chief Brown said. “We believe it is electrical in nature, but we are having the state fire marshal coming to investigate.”
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
