Female medic center of Philly sex scandal investigation

The Philadelphia Inspector General’s Office is expected to release the results next week

PHILADELPHIA — An investigation into alleged sexual activity involving a female paramedic and as many as a dozen male firefighters has come to a close, ABC6 reports.

The claims of sexual activity involved more than a dozen firefighters and paramedics — including two battalion chiefs — both on and off duty in firehouses and ambulances around the city.

The female paramedic involved, whose name has not been released, filed an Equal Employment Opportunity complaint alleging sexual misconduct. The case was referred to Philadelphia Police detectives, then referred to the Office of the Inspector General after the paramedic told detectives she didn’t want police involvement.

The Philadelphia Inspector General’s Office is expected to release the results next week.
