MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Shelby County fire dispatcher was given a three-day suspension after she accepted tickets to an NFL preseason game from the county’s ambulance contractor.

Roberta Ivory, who supervises the county fire dispatchers, posted a photo to Twitter in August that showed her sitting in a Dallas Cowboys luxury suite that belongs to the parent company of the county’s ambulance contractor, American Medical Response (AMR).

FOX13 News obtained an investigative report from the county attorney’s office which concludes, “Ms. Ivory has violated Section 5.08 of the Shelby County Charter, although this violation is not willful.” That section of the county charter says county workers shouldn’t benefit from their jobs, and that county employees can’t take anything of value from contractors.
