NEW YORK — An EMS lieutenant at FDNY has been suspended after posting a string of racist tweets.

The New York Post reported that Lt. Timothy Dluhos called Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who is Jewish, ‘King Heeb,’ referred to black people as “coloreds” and called Asian people “chinks.”

Photographs showed Dluhos breaking down when reporters confronted him about the allegations. “My life is ruined. Oh, my God, I’m so sorry,” he reportedly told journalists.

In a statement made after the allegations came to light, FDNY spokesman Frank Gribbon said, “The commissioner’s deeply concerned, and he’s suspended him without pay.”

Dluhos has since removed his his Twitter account, which had the username “Bad Lieutenant.”

Earlier this month, the son of New York City’s fire commissioner resigned after apologizing for posting offensive messages on Twitter.
