Thieves ransack Detroit firehouse

The thieves took radiators, metal pipes, pots and pans and even mattresses

DETROIT — A fire house was ransacked Thursday afternoon after a fire captain discovered a side door open.

WXYZ reported that a captain with the Detrot Fire Department stopped by Ladder19 on the city’s east side and noticed the firehouse had been ransacked. The thieves took radiators, metal pipes, pots and pans and even mattresses, according to the report.

The firehouse has been broken into before and it remains under investigation, according to the report.
