SAN DIEGO, Calif. — A firefighter died at his home Wednesday after returning from fighting the San Diego wildfires.
The Fresno Bee reported that firefighter Roger Gonzales, 32, was a firefighter with the Fresno-Kings Unit of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
The Fresno County Coroner’s Office will determine the cause of death.
“We are supporting the family and his crew during this difficult time,” Capt. Ryan Michaels said.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
