STANDING STONE TWP., Pa. — A 25-year-old volunteer firefighter walking along the road was struck by a car, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The driver was later charged with underage drinking and driving under the influence. Police said the accident happened just after noon Saturday.
They said Clinton A. Houghtaling, 25, Wyalusing, Pa, was walking along Rummerfield Creek Road in Bradford County when he noticed a car coming toward him. Houghtaling, of Herrickville Volunteer Fire Dept., tried to warn the driver about some wires in the road.
