ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis firefighter died at his firehouse after responding to a call Wednesday.
Firefighter Jeffrey Hudson went out on an early call Wednesday morning and later returned to station where his body was later found in his bunk later, according to St. Louis Public Radio.
St. Louis Fire Department spokesman Captain Dan Sutter said Firefighter Hudson appeared to have passed away in his sleep. He said Firefighter Hudson’s death would likely be considered in the line of duty.
Firefighters throughout the city have put flags at half-staff and wearing mourning bands.
