Firefighter in coma after being hit by school bus

Jeremy Morgan, 24, is in critical condition with multiple serious injuries; the driver of the bus was cited for failing to yield

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — A Summit County man is fighting for his life after being hit by a school bus while riding his motorcycle. It happened Saturday afternoon on State Route 32 and Browns Canyon Road.

The family 24-year-old Jeremy Morgan now opening up about their loved one and his fight to survive. They say Jeremy has spent most of his life giving back. “He’s a well-liked young man that’s for sure,” said his brother Jason Morgan. Jason tells ABC 4 News that his brother Jeremy has served his community as a wildland firefighter, volunteer ski patroller and volunteer firefighter for North Summit County.

“Jeremy is the most witty, kind and unique individual I have ever met. He’s always done things his own way and he is never short of a joke,” said Morgan. Now the 24-year-old is in the fight for his life. Jeremy is in a coma after he was hit by an Oakley school bus.
