SOLVANG, Calif. — Days after a car plows into an off-duty Santa Barbara County firefighter and his 3-year-old son, the man speaks exclusively to Central Coast News about the frightening day and saving his little boy.
“I remembering standing up, and then just saying oh my god, oh my god no,” said Santa Barbara County Firefighter, Egan de los Cobos.
As a firefighter, Egan de los Cobos, responds to calls all the time; but last week, he was part of it. A terrifying turn of events, involving him and his boy, when a car slammed into the area they were sitting in eating breakfast. “I couldn’t hear him or anything. I just saw the car there. I looked around. It was pure panic mode,” described de los Cobos.
