PINELLAS PARK, Fla. — A Pinellas Park firefighter-paramedic was arrested and charged with selling prescription drugs.
James A. Comer, 38, of Largo faces 16 counts that include sale, delivery and possession of oxycontin, morphine, alprazolam, oxycodone and hydromorphone, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Detectives learned he was selling drugs, and after making an undercover purchase they arrested him Saturday around noon in the parking lot of Northside Hospital, where he works part-time as an emergency room nurse.
Comer had more than 180 pills on him, a sheriff’s office spokeswoman told the newspaper. How he obtained them is still under investigation.
