LEXINGTON, Ky. — A firefighter was punched while assisting a crash victim Tuesday morning.
WKYT reported that a car with two men inside struck several concrete poles in front of the building around 10:30 a.m. Police said after the crash, the passenger, 23-year-old Christopher Goodman, took off running toward a parking garage.
An attendant at the parking garage called paramedics because the man was struggling to stand. When firefighters arrived, Goodman punched one of them while they were evaluating him.
Goodman was later charged with third degree assault and possession of synthetic marijuana. The driver of the car, Adam Ward, 23, was charged with driving under the influence.
