CORSICANA, Texas — An off-duty firefighter was killed and his twin sons were severely injured in a one-vehicle crash Tuesday night.
KYTX reported that Lt. Louis Lachney, 46, was driving a convertible car when he failed to navigate a curve and crashed into a ditch. The car rolled and threw all three, who were not wearing seatbelts, from the car, according to the report.
Lt. Lachney was pronounced dead at the scene and his 11-year-olds were flown to a hospital, where they’re expected to recover, according to the report.
The crash is under investigation.
