Video: Dog revived by Calif. firefighters after house fire

The residents’ dog was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation then taken to a veterinary hospital

BENICIA, Calif. — One person has died from injuries suffered in a house fire in Benicia, according to authorities.

An elderly couple was found in the back bedroom of the burning home on the 300 block of Larkin Drive just after 2:00 a.m., Benicia Fire Chief Jim Lydon said.

Both were transported to Kaiser Hospital in Vallejo and then moved to the St. Francis Memorial Hospital Burn Center in San Francisco at 7:15am, according to Benicia Police Lt. Frank Hartig. Later Thursday morning one of the two died of injuries, said Hartig. The name of the deceased was not immediately released.
