Grant funding remains one of the most effective ways for fire departments to strengthen operational readiness, protect personnel and invest in mission-critical equipment, but securing them requires more than filling out an application. This webinar helps fire service leaders understand how to align their real operational needs with funding priorities, timelines and grant requirements.

We provide a practical overview of widely used fire service grant programs as well as lesser-known funding sources that departments may be overlooking. You’ll learn how different grant strategies can be used to support both core fire missions and overlapping response needs, including search and rescue operations that involve coordination with law enforcement. We focus on how you can position equipment requests in ways that reflect operational risk, responder safety and community impact — key factors grant reviewers look for.

In today’s increasingly hazardous situations, head protection plays a critical role in reducing injury risk while allowing first responders to maintain mobility and situational awareness. Team Wendy helmets including the new EXFIL Rescuer Line, are purpose-built for these demanding environments, making them well suited for grant-funded initiatives focused on modern rescue and emergency response operations.

By viewing this webinar, you’ll learn:

  • The most common fire service grant programs, what they typically fund and how your department can position requests for critical safety equipment, including protective helmets.
  • Ways to identify and pursue corporate, private and foundation-based grants that are often underutilized by fire departments.
  • The key steps in the grant application process that strengthen proposals, including timelines, stakeholder involvement, equipment inventories and risk assessments.

Join us for practical insight into fire service grants and learn how to prepare your department to secure funding for critical safety equipment that supports today’s operational realities.
