CLACKAMAS, Ore. — Firefighters used a ladder to rescue a woman found lying on her back in the middle of frozen man-made pond Friday night.
OregonLive reported that the woman was about 20-feet from the edge of the pond when residents noticed her. They were unable to reach her because the ice was thin, according to the report.
Firefighters used a 24-foot ladder to perform a quick-drag rescue and were able to reach the woman and pull her to safety, according to the report.
The woman was not injured and it was unclear why she ventured out onto the frozen pond.
