NOVATO, Calif., (Feb. 05, 2013) – Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company announces
the appointment of Michelle Impey to Fine Art Director, Personal Insurance.
In her new role, Impey will focus on sharing information with agents, brokers, and
policyholders on current trends affecting the fine art and private collections
markets. Her responsibilities will include consulting with agents, brokers, and clients
to provide expert loss prevention advice and services with respect to the display,
transportation, and storage of fine art and other valuable items and enhancing
partnerships with service providers specializing in the needs of high net worth
collectors.
Impey comes to Fireman’s Fund from the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies,
where she served for 11 years as Senior Fine Art Specialist for the Eastern Territory.
Prior to joining Chubb she spent two years as an art researcher with Wildenstein
and Company in New York. She is a member of ArtTable and The Arts & Records
Committee of the Inland Marine Underwriters Association. Impey will be based in
New York City.

Impey graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in art history and
French from Bowdoin College. She spent her junior year abroad with Hamilton
College and studied at the Ecole du Louvre and the Sorbonne/Paris III. She also
attended New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies
furthering her art studies including art appraisal.
