NVFC releases video helping departments post volunteer opportunities to national database
GREENBELT, Md. — The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) has released a how-to video to assist departments in developing and posting volunteer opportunity listings through the Make Me A Firefighter department portal. The NVFC’s Make Me A Firefighter recruitment campaign connects potential volunteers with departments through MakeMeAFirefighter.org. Participating departments have the opportunity to develop and promote their volunteer opportunity needs through the campaign’s department portal.
Posting a volunteer opportunity listing is a simple way to let people know their help is needed. Potential volunteers visiting the MakeMeAFirefighter.org site can’t find your department if you haven’t published a volunteer opportunity listing yet. Access the new ‘how-to’ video to gain a better understanding of the listing feature, along with tips on writing an effective volunteer opportunity description.
Log in to the department portal today to post your volunteer needs and access additional campaign tools and resources.
