HURST Jaws of Life added new equipment at its North Carolina manufacturing facility to increase productivity.
The company’s new Mazak machine helps in the manufacturing of the parts of rescue tools. Its programmable memory also holds specs of dozens of components. An optical comparator machine will also aid in quality control. The machine uses scanning technology to compare the parts that have been machined.
The machines, which were installed earlier this year, are being used to manufacture HURST’s eDRAULIC battery-powered rescue tools and 5,000 – and 10,000-PSI hose line tools.
