WATERBURY, Conn. — Four firefighters were injured in a crash Thursday night, a fire official said.
The fire truck and a car collided on Oronoke Road shortly after 8:30 p.m. The firefighters were discharged from St. Mary’s Hospital after being treated for injuries that are considered minor, Deputy Fire Chief Richard Hart said.
The car’s driver declined treatment.
The firefighters were on their way to a small fire in a laundry dryer at the time, Hart said.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash, he said.
