Bicyclist hurt in collision with Ohio fire truck

The bicyclist, who suffered non-life threatening injuries, was riding in the bike lane when the rig attempted to turn into a gas station

DAYTON, Ohio — A bicyclist was hurt Thursday night after colliding with a fire truck by a university campus.

ABC22Now reported that the 18-year-old male bicyclist was riding in the bike lane when the Dayton (Ohio) fire truck attempted to turn into a gas station.

A witness said the two somehow collided and the bicycle was seen underneath the front right wheel of the rig.

The bicyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and his leg was pinned under the truck. He suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Dayton Fire declined to comment. Police have yet to determine who was at fault.
