Fire department honors cancer patient with pink fire truck

Delaney Clements, 13, died after a long battle with cancer; the department invited her friends and family to sign the truck in her memory

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — A fire department in Colorado turned one of their fire trucks pink in honor of a young girl who lost her battle with cancer.

KOAA.com reported the Grand Junction Fire Department invited friends and family of 13-year-old Delaney Clements to come and sign the rig in her memory. Clements died on Monday after battling cancer.

The fire department posted a message about Delaney on their Facebook page.

Sweet Delaney, you will be missed. You touched our hearts and changed our lives here at GJFD. Now you can dance all day, every day, pain free. We love you.
