KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City Fire Department fire truck was involved in a crash while en route to a house fire Monday afternoon.
KCTV5 reported that no firefighters were hurt in the crash. A woman in a sedan was stopped at a traffic light as the fire truck travelled westbound. When the truck turned to go south, the back end of the truck clipped the headlight and front fender of the sedan. The driver of the sedan was also not injured.
Authorities said the two-story wood frame house that was on fire was vacant. The fire was under control within 30 minutes of firefighters arriving on the scene.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
