DUBUQUE, Iowa — The Dickeyville-Paris Fire Department will be getting a new fire truck.
A resolution to purchase the truck was approved last month by the Dickeyville Village Board. The fire department has paid $100,000 up front for the new pumper truck, which will cost $315,000.
The village and Parish Township will more than likely get a loan to pay the remainder of the cost, which will be split 50-50.
The new truck will replace a 24-year-old truck, which will be used as a backup. It is hoped the new truck will be delivered by February.
