ESCATAWPA, Miss. — The Escatawpa Volunteer Fire Department received a super-sized surprise Thursday to help the team fight fires and keep the community safe. And the firefighters were surprised, even pulling out their cameras to capture every second as a new 2013 fire truck rolled down the road.
“Just seeing it roll up to our station is just a real feeling to us,” Fire Chief Donnie Lowery said.
“We never had anything this nice,” said volunteer firefighter Bradley Davis. Escatawpa’s Volunteer Fire Department serves 5,000 people. The equipment they use is aging. “It is old and worn out, but we still get the job done with what we got. We make do,” said Davis.
