Appleton, Wis. – Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) company, today announced a major new order from the Evesham Fire-Rescue Department in Evesham, N.J., for six Pierce® Arrow XT™ pumpers. Delivery is scheduled for summer 2010.

The six Arrow XT pumpers were engineered to meet the department’s unique needs. Each pumper is built on an 81-inch extended cab with 24-inches of space behind the cab doors, seating for six firefighters and an EMS cabinet inside the cab. The fire trucks also feature a 425-hp engine, 6-speed automatic transmission, TAK-4® independent front suspension, Side Roll Protection system, 22-inch front bumper extension, 1500 gpm pump, 750-gal. poly water tank and Control Zone™ pump panel.
Evesham Township encompasses 30 square miles and is located in Burlington County in southern New Jersey. The township includes a mix of residential and commercial / retail properties, along with a large wildland-urban interface area. Evesham Fire-Rescue is a combination career / volunteer department with 35 career personnel and about 100 volunteers.
