The Coolsprings Township Fire Department in Michigan City, Ind., has taken delivery of an HME rescue pumper built on an 1871-P2 chassis. Powered by a 350-hp Cummins ISC engine with an Allison 3000 EVS five-speed transmission, the rescue pumper features a bolt-together, stainless-steel body with Gortite roll-up doors, a Hale 1,250-gpm Qflo pump and a 1,020-gallon APR tank. Other features include a Hale Foam Logix 2.1A foam system with a 30-gallon Class A foam tank and a Hannay 5,000-watt gasoline-powered generator.
