The Grapeville (Pa.) Volunteer Fire Company: W.S. Darley & Co.

The Grapeville (Pa.) Volunteer Fire Company has taken delivery of a 4 x 4 quick-attack unit built on a Chevrolet 4500 chassis from W.S. Darley & Co. The apparatus is powered by a Duramax 6600 diesel engine and an Allison 1000 automatic transmission. It features a rear-mounted Briggs & Stratton engine-driven pump and is also equipped with a 500-gallon water tank with an integral 25-gallon foam tank and a PTO-driven 150-cfm air compressor that automatically balances water pump pressure.
