The Trumball (Conn.) Fire Department: KME

The Trumball (Conn.) Fire Department has taken delivery of a KME custom pumper built on a KME Predator MFD chassis with 12" raised roof. The apparatus features a Cummins ISL 370-hp engine; an Allison 3000 EVS five-speed, automatic transmission; a Waterous 2,000-gpm, single-stage pump; and a 500-gallon UPF polypropylene tank with a 100-gallon foam cell. Other equipment includes a Whelen warning-light package, an Elkhart 125-gpm foam eductor, an Onan 15-kW hydraulic generator and a Will-Burt 6,000-watt light tower.
