EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Evansville Fire Department administrators are eager to move forward on installation of some new, heavy duty equipment washers, but they will have to wait a bit longer.
The City Council in a 6-2 decision Monday postponed a $155,000 appropriation to buy the equipment. City Councilman Al Lindsey, D-6th Ward, said he wanted more information about the fire department’s plan. Lindsey is a member of the fire department and the City Council’s fire department liaison.
“I haven’t seen anything in detail. I’ve seen guesstimates,” Lindsey said.
