A maniacal killer is on the loose in a Baltimore suburb and the SWAT team is charged with finding him and his hostage—a former love interest. Danny Weaver, SWAT’s newly assigned medic, has just completed a grueling three week indoctrination course. From the outset, team leader Jack Phillips has disliked Weaver and wants him dropped from the program. Despite the antagonism, Weaver endures and completes the basic training.
With SWAT having the killer surrounded, Weaver must deal with critical teammate injuries as well as Phillips’ continued hostility. Can the new medic perform in the face of battle when a hostage rescue is initiated, or has Phillips been right about him all along?
Mr. Krebs’ experiences as the medic supporting the Baltimore County Police SWAT team during the Joseph Palczynski incident in March 2000 provided him the background for his novel, Medic Up: Where Criminals, SWAT Teams & Medicine Intersect.
