WAUPUN, Wis. — Waupun’s police canine cruiser has been traded to the Waupun Fire Department for a thermal imaging camera and everyone is happy.
“We gave the police the camera which was outdated for our use but fit right in for what they needed, and more or less traded them for their canine squad car,” said fire chief Jeff Berry talking about how the fire department acquired the vehicle recently being seen parked at the fire station.
“We did a lot of cleaning and put some labeling on it and it looks nice, although it’s a 2008 vehicle with almost 100,000 miles on it.”
