CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — A fire truck-car crash sent both drivers to a hospital on Wednesday, WCIA reported.

The Champaign Fire Department’s Ladder 161 was responding to a call and was heading east on Green Street and a Chevy Malibu was heading south at the Neil St. intersection.

Both drivers were treated there and transported to a hospital.

“They weren’t hurt too badly and should be OK,” Champaign Fire Chief Gary Ludwig said.
