COLUMBUS, Ohio — A fire lieutenant who was struck by lightning in 2014 died Thursday.
Lt. Stu Tudor was struck during a Columbus Crew game on June 28, 2014. The incident left him paralyzed, unable to talk and in a coma for weeks.
“I feel fine, but I just want to talk,” Tudor told NBC during a 2015 interview. “I want to move, I want to get up and move … I can’t move.”
The cause of Tudor’s death has not been released.
Tudor served with the Columbus Fire Division for 23 years.
