CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A worker who was seriously injured in a chemical explosion at a Coca-Cola plant last year thanked the firefighters for saving his life.
According to a Facebook post from Chattanooga Fire Department, Tony Little visited the station to thank the firefighters who responded to a chemical explosion on Oct. 7, 2016. The post said Little suffered several burns to his body, broken bones, vision loss, the loss of two fingers and temporary loss of lung use.
Little, who is 85 percent recovered, healed faster than doctors predicted, according to the Facebook post. The firefighters said they were very thankful that the injured worker visited them to let them know how he is doing.
“Everyday firefighters across the city help people and we rarely ever hear back from those people we help,” the fire department post said. “It was a great blessing to see someone after they have recovered and stop by to say thanks. We thank Tony and his wife Joy for coming by and giving us an opportunity to see the outcome of the help we give to others.”
