GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A firefighter had a harrowing experience after a burglar broke into his home, held him at gunpoint and threatened his sleeping family.
The firefighter, who asked to remain anonymous, said he was up late Saturday night when the suspect came through his garage door. The suspect went into the firefighter’s bedroom, pistol-whipped him and went through his room, reported FOX25.
“All they were looking for was $100,” the firefighter said. The suspect told the firefighter he needed the money to return to his home in New York.
The suspect threatened to harm the firefighter’s mother, sister and 8-year-old nephew if he did not cooperate. His nephew was asleep on the living room couch.
