DANBURY, Conn. — It’s one thing to fight a house fire. It’s another to be fighting a house fire and have someone who lives there start a fight with you.
But that’s what police said happened Saturday afternoon after Danbury firefighters extinguished a small blaze at a house on Ridge Road.
Police said Matthew Cimino, 56, arrived home just after 3 p.m., threatened to kill firefighters who had found a loaded, 20-gauge shotgun in his bedroom, where the fire started, then assaulted them.
