Names released of those killed in South Africa collision between bus and fire engine

PORT SHEPSTONE, South Africa — Police on Tuesday released the names of the seven people killed in collision between a bus and a fire engine in Port Shepstone.

Those killed in Monday’s crash were David Mkhize, 69, from Qwabe; Simphiwe Michael Ndovela, 32, from Boboyi; Sifiso Lawrence Ndlela, 28, from Oshabeni; Nompesheni Mirriam Cele, 57, from Qwabe; Eric Singer Nkomo, 56, from Nyandezulu; Sibusiso Alex Ngcobo, 22, and 27-year old Krinesh Moodley from Oslo Beach.

Ngcobo, Ndovela and Moodley were part of an Hibiscus municipal fire crew that responded to a fire call in nearby Hibberdene. The other four people were passengers on the bus.
